Achieving measurable advances in life science research and motion analysis
A state-of-the-art motion tracking solution to empower students, educators and researchers.
User-friendly interfaces ideal for multi-discipline and interdepartmental use.
Students and faculty get hands-on experience with the next generation motion analysis.
BioStage is a complete turnkey motion tracking system for researchers, educators, physicians, coaches and others involved with human movement science such as neurophysiological and biomechanical/biophysical research, clinical and sports applications and beyond.
The capture and analysis of motion is fundamental in the field of biomechanics. Organic Motion's technology offers the ability to capture the subject's motion unencumbered by any physical tracking devices, and then visually evaluate and objectively analyze the subject's movement in real-time.
BioStage reduces the time involved acquiring 3D kinematic data while increasing the number of subjects that can be evaluated in any given time frame. BioStage eliminates any errors associated with misplacement or misalignment of markers while increasing relative data accuracy and consistency over repeated trial.
Seamless integration with current technology
BioStage streams 3D data for twenty one bones (3D position and 3D orientation) in real-time. Together with leading biomechanical analysis software such as The MotionMonitor™ from Innovative Sports Training and the integration of force platforms and EMG, BioStage becomes a comprehensive motion analysis solution, allowing for 3D kinematics, kinetics, EMG and video analysis. Full reports can be generated instantaneously in Excel or other formats. 3D kinematic data can also be accessed via Organic Motion’s Software Development Kit (SDK).
Cost effective
The cost of tracking and analyzing larger groups for outcome studies can be prohibitive. Organic Motion’s tracking technology requires no extensive subject or volume calibration, allowing all students and faculty to get hands-on experience with digital motion analysis. BioStage is so easy to use that there is no need for expensive onsite technical personnel.
Collaboration
Organic Motion’s technology allows a range of departments to benefit from the platform, including not only biomechanics, kinesiology, athletic, exercise science, physical therapy and virtual reality and game development, but dance, computer animation, art and collaborative education programs, and communications as well.
Grants
Understanding the impact to various fields of study, Organic Motion regularly works with programs applying for Science, Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) and other regional and private grants, where interdepartmental cooperation can provide a competitive edge.
