Avatar Target Insertion System (ATIS)

The Avatar Target Insertion System (ATIS) captures full body motion and facial expressions of a trainer and projects them in the form of a selectable avatar into a Military Operations on Urban Terrain (MOUT) facility.

The avatar can be projected on to walls and live subject matter experts anywhere in the world can instantly become dynamically selectable avatars without having to attach any devices or wear a special tracking suit. It creates completely unpredictable scenarios and offers a digital extension to current shoot house or MOUT style facilities.

Components:

  1. The Trainer’s Capture Unit, consisting of
    2.     · A Stage system
         · An HD tracking camera for facial motion capture
         · A wireless microphone for the subject matter expert
         · An LCD display with speakers for trainer/trainee viewing/listening
  2. The Avatar Generation unit, where the different characters or avatars powered by the trainer’s actions are generated
  3. The ATIS Command Xchange, where the selection of the character and the facility where the trainer’s avatar will be interacting with the warfighters is selected
  4. The Avatar Projection Unit, consisting of a 4500 lumen projector with audio and video over network (1024x768) and either a full HD camera with professional audio input for local facilities or an IP Camera (640x480) with professional audio input for remote facilities
